New York City: Portraits of Presence
This body of work is a study of presence within one of the most crowded and fast-moving cities in the world. Rather than focusing on spectacle, I was drawn to quieter moments — posture, expression, stillness, and the ways people hold space for themselves.
Some of these photographs emerged through observation and chance, others through brief moments of permission and connection. In both cases, the work is guided by the same intention: to notice and honor presence as it exists in everyday life.
Taken together, this work explores what it means to be seen — not as a subject, but as a person.
